Sandalwood :
Sandalwood, known scientifically as Santalum album, is evergreen,
which means it has leaves that are green all throughout the year.
It is commonly found in Nepal, and the tree can grow up to 30 ft in height.
Its peak is when it reaches 60 years old.
Sandalwood has a sweet fragrance, which is one of the reasons why
it is a great material for incense. The tree is also valuable in
Nepal for the production of candles, soaps, drugs, perfume, cosmetics,
and so much more. As for sandalwood incense made in Nepal,
it’s almost always present during sacred ceremonies, especially
when purifying holy places. The scent of Sandalwood is so potent that
it leaves the axe cutting it smelling wonderful even when washed.
